DCOS Connect

Campus demarcation to hubs, clouds and customers

Manage the complete connectivity path from campus demarcation to hubs, clouds, exchanges and customers — carrier procurement, optical and network engineering, interconnection, routing, acceptance, monitoring, incident management, capacity and lifecycle accountability.

DCOS Connect combines carrier procurement, optical and network engineering, interconnection, routing, acceptance, 24/7 monitoring, incident management, capacity and lifecycle accountability. Underlying carriers retain their contractual responsibility; PrecisionX owns the integrated service outcome within the agreed boundary.

Outcomes

What this component is designed to make true when it is in place.

Diversity you can prove

Physical and logical diversity is documented and tested, not assumed from a carrier order form.

Carrier events, coordinated

Transport and carrier incidents enter the shared lifecycle with known impact and a coordinated response.

On-ramps as governed services

Cloud on-ramps and interconnects are operated with explicit authority, not treated as invisible plumbing.

Connectivity services

Wavelength & transport

Procured and engineered wavelength, Ethernet and IP transit services with documented SLAs and paths.

Dark fiber & metro

Dark fiber and metro connectivity with route diversity modeled into the dependency graph.

Cloud on-ramps

Private on-ramps to major clouds engineered, monitored and governed as first-class services.

Customer interconnects

Cross-connects and customer interconnections provisioned with controlled authority and evidence.

Remote hubs

Meet-me and remote hub presence engineered and operated as part of the connectivity fabric.

Path monitoring

Active and passive monitoring of transport paths with correlation into site and portfolio events.

Acceptance and operations

Connectivity is only accepted against explicit gates, and carrier incidents follow a defined lifecycle.

Acceptance gates

  • Commercial and responsibility
  • Route and diversity
  • Physical and optical
  • Protocol and performance
  • Routing and security
  • Monitoring and operations
  • Recovery and continuity
  • Documentation and turnover

Carrier incident lifecycle

  • Detect and validate
  • Open and escalate
  • Mitigate
  • Coordinate
  • Restore and prove
  • Close and improve

Operating contract

How this component upholds the shared platform contract.

What this component upholds

  • Every circuit, path and interconnect carries stable identity and documented diversity attributes.
  • Read and command authority over connectivity services are declared separately and enforced.
  • Carrier and transport events join the shared event lifecycle with modeled blast radius.
  • Restoration order across dependent circuits and services is explicit during a transport incident.

Service profiles

Indicative service profiles; exact diversity and SLA targets are set per contract during engineering.

Scope & boundaries

What this component is — and deliberately is not — responsible for.

  • DCOS Connect owns external connectivity; internal site and campus fabric is provided by DCOS Network.
  • It procures and governs carrier services but does not become the carrier of record.
  • Diversity is only as strong as the underlying carrier routes allow; Connect documents and tests it during acceptance rather than assuming it.
